YOGA

After practicing yoga for a number of years & seeing the improvement in my fitness, well being, & health, I knew that this was something that I wanted to share with others. There are so many things that I love about yoga.  One of the wonderful things about yoga is that, no matter who you are, it can be modified to work for you, no matter your age or fitness level. Yoga really is for everyone. You don’t need to be flexible & fit to start doing yoga, you start doing yoga because you wish to be more flexible, fit and to feel better. One great thing is that there is no competition in yoga, it is for you and about you.  You do what you can do & who cares about what you can't.  It improves your health, fitness and flexibility.

I am a trained Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga instructor having completed the 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training course through It's Yoga of San Francisco in 2008. Some of the wonderful teachers I have had the pleasure of learning from and attending workshops with are Sasha Regier and Jeff & Harmony Lichty and I look forward to learning from many more wonderful teachers in the future.

BEGINNERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

  • I advise not to eat much for 2-3 hours before practicing yoga, as there is a lot of twisting and movement. If you feel you must eat, I recommend light foods like yogurt or fruit to tide you over.
  • If you don’t have a mat, I have some to borrow.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.
  • Yoga is practiced in bare feet, so no special footwear is required.
